Idiot proof pencil

The little yellow stick of wonder
With a sharp point so I can sketch
You are idiot proof, with an eraser
To get rid of my mistakes

A pencil Is a mighty tool
That can be a weapon of words
It clashes with the sword
But their battle always ends in a draw

So with such a tool in hand
On a quest of art I set off
With a pencil to shap my dreams
Though it is a hard beast to tame

Wow, I really like this. "With a pencil to shape my dreams / Though it is a hard beast to tame" Beautiful lines. When I first read the title I pictured a poem where you would describe how easy a pencil is to write with but how hard it is to control and write down your thoughts. The first time I read the last line, my mind processed "Thought is a hard beast to tame". If you do revise this sometime I would suggest putting some of that in there, about thinking and writers block. Other than that opinion I think this was well written, and you should continue it this year! Great job!
