Stiched-up Hearts

Stiched-up Hearts

A Poem by Shayne Plunk
"

A short, short, SHORT poem that I wrote about how my boyfriend and I got where we are now.

"

Crying on the floor,

Your shattered heart was thrown about.

Tears flooded from your eyes,

And splattered the snow-covered ground.

Crawling up to you,

I picked up the tattered shreds of your heart.

I gently placed them beside the broken bits of mine,

The ground mixed with your tears and mine.

Over time, our tears subsided,

And our pains disappeared.

Our broken hearts were remedied,

But were indistinguishable.

Our hearts had blended,

Just as our tears once did.

We share our hearts,

Now and forever.
