Time

Time

A Poem by Enjoy

Where once lush forest flourished;

a lifeless copse now defiles:

Time, the hemlock killer,

has claimed another victim.

Where once Amor and Eros entangled,

now a rift divorces,

Time, the supposed healer of wounds,

has claimed another victim.

All that lives shall die, with Time.

Nice work, enjoying this one lots, I like the lifeless copse - great play on words, and the final 2 lines are great - maybe without the Time in L3 & L4 removed would be more powerful? The last line is not needed for me. I like your style - look forward to reading more of you.

nice, the poem is really good. every line has its deep meaning, but you know, sure time basically brings death, but it brings life too, its a cycle, and nothing can change it, even if by our standards 'the end of the world' occurs :)
thanks for the poem

Great Poem, I love the imagery and it speaks the truth :)

This one is true. Time can heal all things, but it will eventually see the end of all things. Of course, when the end of time comes, it probably won't make much difference . . . but I wonder: what happens after that?

I re-read this a couple times, and I've come to the conclusion, that I really like this.
It's a bitter truth, but a truth none the less. Very nice job!

I liked reading this; it's the truth that many would rather just forget but with it, you've made a beautiful piece.
