This Is Just The Start

this whole experience is new to me...........i havnt had a boyfriend before, and now i think i am glad i didnt.....becasuere there is no one better that i would want to share these feelings with

This smile can’t weaken

Nor my contented heart

This happy nervousness;

This is just the start

 

 

And all else fades

With your hand in mine

All pain is gone

Everything feels fine

 

 

Colours seem brighter

With you by my side

My smile is genuine

There’s no need to hide

 

 

My heart feels lighter

I feel so carefree

A spreading of warmth

From deep inside me

 

 

Feelings newly awakened

A new strength within me

And this is just the start

Of what we will be.

For the first time of writing something happy, this was an amazing attempt and success! I really did feel the emotion you were trying to present to us. All of these feelings in this piece are very touching and romantic... certainly nothing I can relate to, but you've seemed to give me a taste of the romance that may come in my own future.

Structurally, excellent writing! Your rhymes (like all of your poetry) are incredibly... they just flow. :)

Sounds like something I wrote when I was younger too, when I first fell in love in college, and the newness and innocence of the relationship. I wishI could go back to these days where everyting is so precious and untainted, and you heart feels lighter and carefree.

Keep writing don't give up, i Look at my poetry throught the years and see major improvmenent. I can't even imagine how good you will be in 3 more years. Thanks for sharing!
