Curiosity killed the cat.

Curiosity killed the cat.

A Poem by Sunshine and rain
"

One day I decided to write a poem on that saying. Initially when I wrote it, I felt really clever. But now, I'm starting to wonder why I wrote this morbid poem.

"
Well, I never meant to kill the cat. Sure it was curiosity, but it wasn’t me. Per se.

In truth it was my uncle. He never liked cats, neither did I.

But I didn’t kill the cat. Per se.

Like I just said, it was my uncle. Bob. Uncle bob killed the cat.

But he didn’t do it alone. Per se.

In truth it was also my aunt. She hates cats. So does uncle bob.

But he didn’t kill the cat. Per se.

Like I just said, it was my aunt. Sallie. Aunt Sallie killed the cat.

But of course she didn’t do it alone. Per se.

In truth it was also my mom. She loathes cats. So does aunt Sallie.

But she didn’t kill the cat. Per se.

Like I just said, it was my mom. Mom killed the cat.

Naturally she didn’t do it alone. Per se.

In truth it was the dog. He abhors cats. So does mom. And aunt Sallie. And uncle bob. And me.

But we didn’t kill the cat. Per se.

Like I just said, it was the dog.

Curiosity killed the cat.
