RAINA Poem by DrDIt rained on this gloomy day As dark as the world of man And I let it kiss me With droplets as gentle As kitten feet And smiled with what only I knew That once we welcomed rain.
We walked in downpours Hand in hand, every storm While everyone else Simply got wet. And once we danced in the rain We were passing a music store And everyone applauded.
I can see your face again Covered with droplets Falling around your smile The vibrant eyes Your arms held open You turning in circles Beneath the pregnant clouds
Now rivulets slide down the pane And mountain gods grumble In the distance. The fireplace chatters And I lift my glass To you, darling And from somewhere I hear music.
