Asphyxia

Asphyxia

A Poem by Fadedspeak
"

Tough times birth the best pieces. Enjoy.

"
This air held in hangs tight
as I stand here, held down
underneath deceased emotions.
How is one to feel
what doesn't wish to be felt,
what doesn't seek to be saved?
I've ran a million miles
in what felt like a day,
now my pulse has collapsed on the floor
and so I simply cannot breathe any longer.
I tried to hold on -
it's obvious which of us is strongest,
but standing here is an emotionless seed
long fallen from the tree,
and like the breath who left me,
my feelings are long gone.
