She Rises

She Rises

A Poem by Fay Slimm

She Rises.

Dawn and night-clouds part the horizon,
Dark muddy blues turn suddenly light
Spilling change on her hues as she rises,
And oh that fullness of sight.

Glow of greeting bequests later heat-time,
Brazen sun brooks no trace of the night.
She aims to captivate dark guilelessly
With oh such flourish of style.

Her blush in pale sky flashes a brightness
Over first tremble of her prelude to fire.
She welcomes day by blazing sublimely
In oh what a show of surprise

This poem is my prayer for everyone who's feeling trapped or stressed or sick in our current times of lockdown . . . a poem like this can free a person's spirit, no matter where he/she must be sequestered. I love how your title suggests a human woman & I kinda expected a message of standing up for something, but was pleasantly surprised to find a completely different kind of "she" and a completely different kind of "rising"! This is how I feel about mornings & then some! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You are more than deserving and always welcome 😎
this is so beautiful....i don't think there is anything prettier than when nature shows us a sunset or sunrise in all its glory...
both are untainted by human hands or breath.....she is the queen and lets us know in no uncertain terms.
