A Night to Remember: One of Two

A Night to Remember: One of Two

A Poem by Deranged Kiwi
"

Restored.

"

Limos packed with eager teens turned adults

Virgins to the real world, not yet experienced

Glimmering smiles and starlit eyes

Paired and partnered for a night in a fairytale

Gowns and tuxes, trimmed and tailored

A twinkling tiara with the glass slipper to match

Wax wood scuffed with dancing steps

Forgotten confetti littering the floor

Bothersome balloons cover the ceiling

The crazy colored strobe lights seem to slow

The magic dies and the night is over

Yet the excitement is imprinted in our minds

Like a Polaroid, shaken into view

...Remember forever
