About how people blame others when they could also be responsible

 

 

Pointing Fingers

Pointing fingers at me

Like an assassin behind a sniper aiming

They shoot with hurtful words of blaming

After comparing and complaining

 

Who said to me: “look”

“Point with one finger and the rest point back at you”

So it’s not one direction but two

Making it possible that both of us could be responsible or irresponsible

 

It’s much easier to say: “it wasn’t me”

The king of theft blames smaller thieves

Even wolves like to be disguised as sheep

Pray for discerning eyes to see

 

Here is some advice

Don’t teach a lie

Before you teach apply

Focus not outside but take an honest look inside

 

Nowadays it’s twisted; left is becoming right

Perhaps mother Earth changed her mind

And decided to spin the other way round

But a fool knows not that the earth is changed by us

 

The blame it all on poverty- what about the causes and causers of it?

Blame loss on wars- what about the causes and causers of it?

Fredyman,
In these first two of your poems I've read and reviewed, there run social messages throughout, with a philosophical bent, and much is emphasized about straightening one's thinking (attitude ?) about life and where, how we live … it, also, speaks deeply about you (the man), of the environment where and how you live, but most of all, it reveals the fine man you've become and keep striving to be.
I very much like and respect your messages.
For rhymes, you really need to work of their accuracy, and grammar, too, with a stronger poetic voice your fine work demands, in order that it becomes the powerful piece it deserves to be … explore more creative, original ways to express your ideas/ideals.
I think the site is lucky to have you as a member, and I know you will prosper and learn a lot here if you make many friends, and read and review all you can … there are some talented artists and excellent poetry here, and some not so much, but you'll soon learn which is what. : )
