What is love

What is love

A Poem by Gentleman's Art

Love is not steel box of emotions anymore,

To be shared by two as it was once before,
love is not Pandora's box full of dark blinding mysteries,
It got opened and used as it faded to Greek history,
Love were diamond bars that once jailed the soul to submission,
Now a paper house burned by the passing wind is even stronger,
Love is not in the heart like before, its dwelling is in the brain,
Its thought over and plain, not felt unexplained.
Love is no longer about the better half of your soul ,
But Adonis', Monalisa's and deep pockets to be shrunk,
Love is not wild and free,
It was transformed to a tamed torture to be endured for the future good,
Love perished with Romeo and Juliet,
Their death its escape from the grasp of men,
But still love finds you and you find love.
Don't be shy or run away from the feeling,
Don't hold back or seize it from ripping your heart to the hands of another,
The adrenaline and rush becomes an adventure no book can put put to words,
For love is a dangerous and unknown beauty.
