Hi

Hi

A Poem by Gentleman's Art

I’m seated by the bus window,
Waiting for this moment,
Waiting for now,
Your not late you’re just in time,
The second seat just a glance away,
A glance that traps me in an illusion created by optics,
Brown and white they areas they wash my thoughts clear,
This being a glimpse of how I vanish in your eyes,
Your hair seems like strips of silk fashioned by a master of masters,
Every strand complements the next thus adding to the true beauty that is your face,
Your face outshines the rays of the magnificent sun,
Now I know how you light up my day,
There’s a tune to your presence like angels melodies,
Borrowing my soul to hover around you.
Your hypnotic voice when someone calls,
Baits my eyes luring them for the kill,
Then HOOK!!! Your gorgeous eyes jail me like an enchantment,
Making me wish people would phone you now and again.
Every morning when your seated there I’ll do this again an again,
I’ll stare and I’ll glare and be one with your shadow,
You will not see me neither will hear me,
For I’ll have trouble not consuming the words meant for you,
I shall continue like this with no eyes for another just you,
If you happen upon this,
Read it and find me a glance away,
Help my words not to hide in fright,
Of your astonishing elegance and glamour,
The how is simple as saying a single word,
Project your voice to say “Hi” and watch the power of my tongue
