Reflections

A Poem by G.W. Saitreux
"

steal this poem

"
The hours,
the minutes,
the seconds,

You better look away,
look away from this
futile, old scene

Don't you know you
oughta turn toward,
oh won't you come,
come face me: see green

The hours,
the minutes,
the seconds

Bleeding out
from under us
through each night's
acquired drought

Why do you think about?

The hours,
the minutes,
the seconds,

Your life,
your love,
your loss,

You cannot save
Yourself, a slave:

The hours,
the minutes,
the seconds

What will you do?
