To wed A Raven

To wed A Raven

A Poem by Gabriel Eden

Seven blackbirds in the sky

I tried to run

But its time to die

I’ll miss the sun

But I cannot deny

The instrument I have strung

My body becoming weak

Is getting cold

Come and find what you seek

Make me the thing you hold

Where is the hope I face defeat

It’s too late my soul is sold

Come lie with me raven

I’ll make a deal

For me by my haven

for you my hearts a steal

Sold is my soul to Lord Satan

With my blood I press a seal

There's no turning back now

I'm gone I'm dead

So take my hand and lead me down

I have listened to what you’ve said

Look at me and see no frown

For the raven and me are newly wed

I have no breath

No blood will run

So this is death?

What have I done?
