Sex Education Day
How archaic notions of sexuality and virginity are foisted primarily on girls.
Have you ever fallen in love with a house? Have you ever fallen in love with your own drafted dream mansion?
Especially the Painful

Especially the Painful

A Poem by Zack Burton

A nice little stream-of-consciousness poem for you to read and scratch your head to.

If I had ears
Oh, the things I'd hear
Beautiful songs
And beautiful curses
My mother's fat squishing
Layer upon layer
Upon layer
And my father's breasts sinking
And that's how the song went
Over and over in my head
Soon enough, soon enough
I would hear again
And all the lies
Breathed through the teeth of infidels
Would come back down
And choke them

The most gorgeous principle
I ever heard
Was the one that said
"Live and live
Until you're stone dead"
And I suppose
This is the easiest principle
The easiest lesson
To ever, ever live by

Point #3, take a breather first
Drink a cold glass
Of flaming-hot lemonade
The sensation
Of boiling water choking the throat
Is one I have yet to experience
Which is unfortunate
I guess
Everything is beautiful
Even the painful things

Especially the painful things

Thanks to all reviewers who made it to the end. I'm considering writing an epic, 10,000-word poem in this style. What do you think? Would it be a ridiculous idea or a great one?

Ridiculous? No. Daunting? Yes! :D Either way, if you can write 10,000 words like this, I think it would be a great idea. :) Honestly, at first this poem gave me flash backs; it's just so trippy with the squishing and the sinking man b***s!! :D Made me laugh for sure, but then the tone changed and it went in the opposite direction :O Very vivid, and a lot of fun! :D Great job!

Poems like this always send to a place reserved in my mind for the stories and poems that make me aware of all the dark undertones in our lives. I dislike being shown bluntly the morbid in things, I like it to be subtle, and you've done just that.

Howdy, folks, I'm Zack Burton. I already have two accounts on this site, but seeing as I'm utterly dissatisfied with them both, they should be closed by now. I'm much more of a poet than a short s.. more..
