This is a parody of E E Cummings' "I carry your heart with me" (sorry E E)

I carry your heart with me darling;

I carry it in a box.

I'm never without it dearest;

It rests on a bed of socks.

 

Our love, my sweet, was fated,

but our love, my dear, was true,

And I’ve never found a heart so big, 

as the one that was once in you.

 

The deepest secret that nobody knows,

And it really is quite scary -

Wonder of wonders, they wonder where

the rest of you is buried...
