May Showers/First Kiss

Written 2/8/15 Was inspired to write a first kiss poem.

I remember that day
In the park
Like it was yesterday
We were sitting on a bench
By the swings
You had this intense look in your eyes
And I knew at that very moment
What you were planning to do
Adrenaline comes over me
My heart races
Butterflies flutter in my stomach
And my hands are clammy
...Everything is silent...
Your hand reaches out
And touches my chin
To pull me closer to you
Our lips meet for the first time
And as May showers pour down on us
Sparks fly
And my nerves are washed from me
You pull away and I notice
How the sunlight shines upon your face
I can't help but get lost
In those green eyes of yours
I'm soaked to the bone
So you grab my hand and say; "lets get you home"
