The Sky is Still Blue

The Sky is Still Blue

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

Days come and go,

And the rivers still flow.

The Daffodils still sway

When a warm breeze blows their way.

The birds still sing

And find the same breeze beneath their wings.

The grass still grows

And new flowers are sown.

The earth still spins

And another day begins.

The sky is still blue

And I still miss you.

The rain still pours

And the eagle still soars.

Tears still fall

When your memory I recall.

The sky is still blue

And so am I… without you.

Thank you for reading and for your kind words.
Even without your loved one, the world marches on, for others and for you. You will continue to have your heart strings stretched missing your loved one but, you will deal as you must.
Time will make decisions for you or decisions easier for you, or maybe more painful as each successive day goes by.
It is up to you how you let time deal with or heal your wounds.

Melinda, Such basic wording speaks volumes in this piece just packed with feelings and vivid imagery. Thinking of a love that is gone from one's view is one of life's most stringent brands of pain. You express those feelings with clarity and with an emphasis on moving on...but just not yet. take care...dan
