Deep Sea of Emotions

Written 2/24/15. Just how I'm feeling this morning..

Struggling to find peace
I feel as if I'm just barely keeping my head above water
Just treading in a deep sea of emotions
Do I keep treading?
Only to feel like I'm gasping for air
Or do I let go?
Letting myself sink into this deep sea of despair
And wait for the tides to recede

With God's help I continued to tread, eventually getting out of that water completely. :)

I liked the poem. Described struggle and questions. Easy to sink, harder to dog paddle to safe ground. A short poem that asked good questions. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I was definitely feeling the struggle when I wrote this, and I couldn't figure out which was better to do, keep fighting and maybe make things worse or just let myself feel what I was feeling and let them disappear on their own.
