Just a Dream

Just a Dream

A Poem by Harmony Best

I swear I woke up this morning and your hands were coastin my hips

I could feel your breath on my neck and my hair was touching your lips

I swear I woke up this morning and I could here you sleeping

My eyes refused open, hopin, your company i was keeping

I swear I woke up this morning and I heard you whisper my name

As if our love was a secret, one in the same

I swear on it, I promise it was you

My heart started beating faster at the though of it too

Your free hand was locked with mines

Our rings touched as they had a thousand times

The aroma of your scent was captivating

The power of us was liberating

I swear I woke up this morning and you were there

But once I reached to stroke the back of your hair...

It was just a pillow laying next to me

Not you, a pillow, you were just a dream

The comforter was resting on my hips

My hair was touching a teddy bear's lips

The window was cracked so the wind breathed

Into my room to seduce me

A man on TV whispering another's name

As she slept soundly, before he came

The remote control was the only thing occupying my hand

And... well I cant explain your scent, that I don't understand...

i must miss u...
