Kyles letter

this is a poem left for kyle in hopes that he reads it

Dear Kyle
If I was able to walk up to you right now,
would I have enough guts?
Would I even do it?
What would I say?
I might start with hello
then thank you for what you've done
you made my confidence a little more clearer
maybe i will say
I'm sorry for all the pain I caused you
I done you wrong
I know that I was wrong,
I'm the one to blame
but will you give me the chance to be forgiven
you wont see me out with any friends
you wont see me talking to people
I don't have that friend to be around
who will accept me
but this is when i turn around
I start to cry
as I walk away
this is my goodbye
to you
to them
to everyone,
goodbye

It's tout to think about all the things we happened to leave unsaid, actions left undone. It's not easy losing someone so close, but we can only do so much to help them through their inner pain. No one can understand what another is truly going through unless we take a look inside their mind just to see for ourselves. It's never easy to admit to ourselves when we are wrong, but it's the best option we have sometimes. It's as if admitting our being in the wrong will make us too vulnerable, that's mainly what we are afraid of...letting our walls down, exposing that we can't be right all the time. Forgiveness is needed on both parties. The poem told of the want to find friendship lost and can't be found. I like the above line. Forgiveness is important. Can't move forward holding hate. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
