Overcoming

Overcoming

A Poem by Harper Tate

Get rid of things that make you bitter,
Of the past and all the pain,
Like the sun rising bright and true
through the mist after the rain.

I like the imagery! The sun shining through the rain would make a rainbow, which makes the image and metaphor even cooler. :)

So true. We all need to get rid of all the negativity and as they say :Rise and shine..
Its always a new day full of hopes ahead :)

Yeah, just what I would have to do. The poem is short, and to the point. I like it. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with the logic of the poem. We must release the bad things and regrets behind to go forward and know happiness and joy. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
