Blood Tears

Blood Tears

A Poem by Havatara

She hides from those she loves

as she cries her tears of blood.

But she doesn’t know

that we’re watching from the window.

Cowering in despair, she waits,

we sigh as her blood tears make

her eyes shine like an evening star.

I only hope they don’t leave a scar.

The scars she carries draws much fear

to those that she holds near.

They mark her skin and soul and smile

and don’t go away, not even for a while.

I know it's short, but there was nothing else to say in this poem than that.

Simple and sorrowful, but hopeful at the same time. I really liked this piece for that reason. The description is key, and you did a great job with it. Amazing piece :)

It is short, and I don't have a problem with that. My only problem is that you tried to make it rhyme, and I don't think it worked out AT ALL. I think you should have tried this as a free-form/non-rhyme poem, as the rhyming seems forced.
The description is really great, I love it!
