Rachel Can't Cry NowA Poem by Life Inside Death
If I believed in salvation I’d pray for you. The cold trickle down your face And blood on your arms But yet I’m days away… Always stuck in this void In which I cannot reach you…
You say you’re not worth being saved That nobody cares I always say to hold on That I’ll always love you And yet your sorrow stays… “I don’t need anybody,” she said But as this rain falls I feel you presence longing For a hand to hold. And I still can’t touch you But I’m always with you My heart with yours.
Your tears continue to stream forth Like a river that merges With the hate and disgust On your wrists As another heart lies shattered and bruised Your presence slowly fades Eyes go white, the tears stop falling I hope you’re happy now Wherever you may be… Now you’ll never cry again. © 2008 Life Inside DeathAuthor's Note
