She Wants AttentionA Poem by Life Inside Death
A smile on her face She walks into the room Those ice blue eyes Pierce everyone’s flesh Like the knives she uses alone…
What a shame What a disgrace Hiding the pain through bliss They always run to alcohol Drinking until sadness is no more…
And on the streets at 2AM She’d wait for her life to find her. Sex was all that kept her alive To feel wanted and needed… That’s all that ever mattered Feeling beautiful Through the eyes Of her lovers, She tried so hard To make them happy
But from every smile A frown is derived Waiting to twist upon your face As if it were a demon And still she drank And cut herself And worked the city As if nothing were wrong Still hiding behind that sweet face
Only 14...her time wasn’t due But life was created And life was lost Why was she punished For wanting someone To make her feel whole? No matter the reasons I know she left a mark On my world: My sister was a sweet girl… © 2008 Life Inside DeathReviews
