I am coming for you

I am coming for you

A Poem by Hercules94
"

A poem about feminism

"
I am the scorching fire
I am the howling wind
I am the rippling water
And the blitzing lightning

You can't catch the fire
Nor trap the wind
Water will not be ripped apart
But the lightning will

I am coming for you
To unleash the wrath onto you
You can't stop the inevitable
And it has been delayed enough too

Beware you almighty fool,
You, who had been so cruel
We have seen enough of you,
Suffered even being a tool

The wrath of centuries
And milleniums before that
Will not be unleashed at once
As we will take our time too

- A woman

I thought the feminist movement took place in the sixties. I was there and that's what they called it then. I also lived through the real civil rights movement when people were actually marching for a reason. The feminist movement of the sixties wasn't anti-male but it was a demand for equality akin to the women's suffrage movement decades before. I actually heard one woman say, "Why would I ever want to be equal to a man? We've been running things for years." Has it gotten so there is an animosity between the sexes I'm unaware of? If so, my wife also seems blissfully unaware of it as well. An interesting read, nonetheless.

I am moved to anger when I see cultures in which women are still treated as second class citizens, when they have to cover up in public...hide themselves.
There are still issues here with equality, but their voice is strong, and they have risen.
I want to see that happen everywhere...cultures need to get with it...
Let them speak...if that does not happen, there will eventually be mutiny...they will rise, the men will fall.
I imagine i have been a feminist long before i knew what it was.
good write.
