Roses and Thorns

Sometimes, lost in the beauty of roses, we often forget about thorns they bring with them

Met a demon from another world,
Scared enough to shatter I was,
He approached me very slowly,
He shook my hands real jolly;

He asked me if I was doing all right and chillin'
And must have noticed the colour of my skin
"Don't worry dear, I'm you friend," he said,
Slowly patting on my head;

I noticed a warmth in his hands,
Found in mother's touch or hot sands,
I found a home in demons fingers,
I found life in those those red eyes;

That boney face, those skinny feet,
Those wet hair, those black teeth,
Those shiny black lips and feathers without talons;
All felt more humane than all humans,

He asked if I was happy in here,
Happy among those greedy human stares,
I spoke the truth and told him that I was not,
He quickly hugged me, his chest was extremely hot;

I looked at him, asked who he was?
He smiled and gave me a beautiful red rose,
I took the rose and asked him what it was for,
To kill anyone who hurts me, he told;

Take out a petal, thinking about them
And I will take them with me to hell,
But he didn't tell me, accepting it all,
I had secretly traded my soul;

It's been so long I can't remember,
So long since I came to Nether,
I spend all day looking at them,
People I killed, stabbing me with rose's stem;

Wow. This is amazing. Exactly what life is-a rose. A combination of beautiful, velvety petals, but underneath them is an array of wicked thorns.
The rhyme scheme works really good here. That was an enjoyable read.
