Wolves

Wolves

A Poem by Hope Rose

Lies left me alone
They caused me to hurt
Because you were too worried
About yourself to see

Don't try to lie to me
I know how you feel
And how you felt
About us the whole time

So why? Is the question
Why did you lie
Why did you say
You loved me like that?

Why did you say
I was the only one
Why did you do it
We all know you did

The walls have eyes, they say
You should have known
The woods are no better
They don't hide secrets either

The wolves saw you with her
And know what you did with her
Like the song I love to sing
"My songs know what you did in the dark"

So don't lie to me anymore!
I'm so sick of the lies!
I know what you did!
The wolves told me the truth!

All you say is lies!
You knew I would find out!
So why do you now deny it?!
You should know better!

Lie to me one more time
And I swear to the moon
I will finish what you started
And have the wolves help me hide the truth

The wolves know what you did
Don't lie to me!
Lie to my face again
And we'll see who's Alpha
