Titanic--Nearer My God.

Titanic--Nearer My God.

A Poem by Relic

Their ghostly forms respire now
With swells that churn the sea.
Relieved from woe - and peril's throe -
Nearer my God to thee.

And even though the forward bow
Is tarnished from time's rust,
A hymn still drifts the ocean glaze -
Where angels spoke with Godly praise:

"Brother, sister, where art thou,
Among the ship's debris?"
"In eternal peace" - they whisper -
"Nearer my God to thee."
