Observations.

Why does reason flee when jealousy steps to the fore

does reason see the ugliness and fear infection?

To where does generosity retreat when greed takes a bow

Did envy begat greed and if so why?

Where does truth go when fictions are preferred 

and who is the father of lies?

Adultery reigns when fidelity limps away.

The countenance of love is fallen when hatred gains the throne.

Pride murdered humility and left meekness as an orphan

Peace began to pant as the rebellion made gain

he threatened to overtake. 

At what point will it end 

or is it already over? 

Has iniquity reached its full measure?

Or is there more and worse to come?
