Prison Inside Our Minds

Prison Inside Our Minds

A Poem by InkAndScrolls
"

Where a prison dwells.

"
We reach out and feel

Past the bars

Past the steel

Past the cage that seals in our minds

A mind that reels every day of trouble

But holds onto hope

So I reach out past the cold

Past the bars of steel

To touch a light as bounces away

Ping pong, ping pong

I promise it has wings

Is this even real?

This was so nicely written and did represent the cage we feel inside our minds sometimes. It was great already, but the line 'Is this even real?' added another layer of depth to it.

Thank you ♡
I suppose it's what we do with prison in our head.
Sometimes it's there to protect, sometimes escape is a must.
