Mirror, Mirror

Mirror, Mirror

A Poem by Inner Rain

Deep in my heart, there is a mirror
There it lays cracked forever
Unshined, unpolished
Untamed, unnamed

Mirror, Mirror
What do you see?
Mirror, mirror
What has become of me?

There in the middle, there is a crack
Screaming and scattering like a maniac
Out of control, out of bounds
Pleading for time, Crossing the line

Mirror, Mirror
Are you alright?
Mirror, Mirror
Why are you shining in the moonlight?

I can see you, but your not there
I know if I touch you, I will feel only air
Not a sense, nothingness
Void, Vacuum, nonexistence

Mirror, Mirror
Why are you shattered?
"Cause it was him you remembered!!!"

Strong write,
Lasting impressions are hard to forget,
such compassion makes it hard to escape yourself.
Thank you for writing.
