What you believe

What you believe

A Poem by Mark

Who knows where your faith might lead us?

Your death, mine.

Only believe and what you
shall see becomes shuttered.

unvarnished wood slats open, close
depending where you put it.

Who knows what light we might find?

Your life or mine?

Exercised and strong
it becomes a gravity
of shaping, warping
white light
dark night
soul drenched,
refracted,
created,
destroyed,

reality.

Who knows indeed.....no one can be sure. Intense emotions seem to play hide and seek through your lines, Mark. There is much to think about here....romance and spirituality. I liked it. lydi**

Thank you so much Claire :)
i agree with Poppy about the cycle thing..."white light, dark night/ created/destroyed..."

sometimes i think we are love's puppets...and we are not sure if our lives are really ours.

your writing is so profound...much between the lines, between the syllables...between the pen and the paper it touches.
