Picturing You My Love

When all we have is a photo of our love

Once more I lay alone
picking out your outline on faded paper,
picture unhung caresses my hand
as I take comfort from your memorised smile.

Once framed I now again frame soft your face
with finger tips aching your touch.

For if a picture says a thousand words
why cannot this one but say

I love you

one more time.

Time and distance fade as I now close my eyes
taking you once more
into my arms
and sweetest of dreams.

I found this stanza damn near perfect!!
