In my arms

In my arms

A Poem by Island Hippy
"

sweet dreams little one.

"

I’ll talk with you cradled in my arms
You are by far the sweetest of charms

While I drink from those sleepy eyes
You are the peaceful night passing by

The shuddering earth is bathed in tears
Rolling waters that soothe my quiet fears

My heart is high on your loving touch
Small hands clutch mine, it’s never too much

Let us walk beneath a million starry skies
You will never grow old in your fathers eyes

The miracle that three became one
A father a mother and a son.

Much mahalo KC, I appreciate your visit.
Ahhhhh, this brings happy tears my ohana! What a beautiful picture of you and Kalani- so serene and ethereal...only a mother could have written this eloquent, tender ode to her child..lovely form, flow, cadence, rhyme..”while I drink from those sleepy eyes”-yes. Last two lines resonate. A jewel to save for sure. Beautiful write Izzy-Mama!xo

Much Mahalo 😊 it is a wonderful feeling I absolutely agree.
love the proudness displayed here...parents become closer as they unite to raise a child...and that child is the sum of one and one makes three.

Aloha Jacob, ae' I can't help the pride and aloha :)
I really love your comment x
Aloha, dear little mama..

Every line of your poem is beautiful but more than that is so loving, gentle.. precious. These words really reached into me, ' While I drink from those sleepy eyes ~ You are the peaceful night passing by. '
Everything you write from now just might go into a a wee book specially for him. Your thoughts, your dreams for him. Stepping stones through his early days. And when he's as big as daddy, the two of them can read your words and know how special you and your words are.

Beautiful. Magical long distance hugs to you and your handsome guys. Keep safe, happy and more. xxx

Motherhood obviously suits you and you share your joy in this tribute. It read as though you were cradling the baby and staring into its eyes.

Beautiful. Congratulations.
Don’t forget to do the pelvic floor exercises, it gets tiresome after a while when my wife’s mates laugh and pee on my couch at the same time ! The living room smells like a retirement home
