Love Attracts Love

A meditation on loneliness

Many are those who feel

Unloved,

Despite petitions to powers

Above,

But neediness dulls the force

Of attraction,

And hopelessness is the womb

Of inaction,

But love yourself well and the

Picture may alter,

For love attracts love, and no

Fear makes it falter.

Love this John, I don't know if you're a Christian but one of all time favorite verses in the bible is, 'there is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear"

Thanks, R. I believe we somehow give off vibrations that communicate on a level that is beyond the conscious mind. People can tell when a person's low self esteem is coming through.

You won't receive love by praying to the Higher Up.... and if you think you're down and out, that won't help either. One has to convince oneself that true love comes from within, from loving yourself first; then one has the ability to love another, to be in the same space, a comfort zone of togetherness.

Full of wisdom this little write is. If you can't love yourself, you will find it more difficult to love others. These days I have come to the conclusion that there are many people who don't love themselves, so the knock on effect is like ripples spreading through the pond. Thanks, Chris. I saw much of this kind of thing during my career, and I see it a lot in these pages. People who think little of themselves often look for another to rescue them. Until they can truly love themselves, though, that person will remain distant. And what they do attract will disappoint them, or worse.

Thanks, Carlos. Too many are down on themselves and hope for some perfect other to rescue them. Seldom do they find that person.
