Changes

Changes

A Poem by John Sullivan

changes
time and place

seek the truth
rise to grace

wind in your sails
you'll find the way

beyond the pale
you're here to stay

seasons turn like pages read
this road leads to where it's led

counting time when a man's so small
before you walk you'll learn to crawl

gentle soul, mark the time
though heed the Mariner's ancient rime

act with courage all the same
eager heart, your nature tame

time will pass, seas rise and fall
wrap yourself in kindness' shawl

all things pass, what comes will come
this path was only made for some

This poem starts with a most interesting meter and rhyme and as it evolves, though the rhyme remains constant the meter changes. Full of wisdom it ends on a thought provocative line.

Thank you Soren, I appreciate your words.
The journey through life. We see much in the way of change and it can be difficult to weather. Living takes courage, should and when those obstacles arise. I always remember, that all things pass. That helps me and kindness is a must. Lovely little poem John.
