Boy, we've come far

Boy, we've come far

A Poem by SuicidePact.

I remember when, you said you couldn’t date me...

Said I was too far away,

Never could come out to play...

You said that you’d miss me, late at night

Said you couldn’t be there when I wasn’t alright...

I told you it wouldn’t matter,

That we could get through it.

I guess deep down you secretly knew it.

Cos soon after that we began dating,

We see each other on the odd occasion,

Text during the day,

Phone during the night,

It could of worked much better if we,

lived so much closer

but secretly I think,

distance makes my love for you stronger...

for we treasure our time together

more than most...

Author's Note

SuicidePact.
this is about my current relationship...

he didn't want to date at first cos of the distance, and distance is harder when you have to rely on parents to drive ya!!

but hey eventually he saw we could make it work...it's been 5 months and still working :D

This is amazing that you are trying to get the distance to work out. It is so inspiring that the two of you want to make it work like this. I am glad yall are making it work though

I loved the thought behind this. Long distance relationships could work if both person involved exerts efforts. :D So inspiring.

Long distance relationships don't have to fail. I liked the story, and how it went to the past, and the present.

a few thoughts, it was a nicely written poem, it is, but, the COS throws me off, try not to use slang when trying to make your readers think in a serious sense... (it works with rap, but not with poetry, wish i knew why lol but it doesn't) Everything after the 13th stanza, is good, but that 13th stanza, corrupts the flow of the previous stanzas, or, explained better, everything is perfect up until the 13th then i get lost.. Beautiful story (: -s
