Numb

Numb

A Poem by Jake Staffeld

You'll tell me what to do
I'll say F**k you
You'll scream foul
I won't care

You've abused me
Taken advantage
Of the situation
Too many times

Now I'm numb
I don't care anymore
You can do anything
It won't affect me

Your long term effects
Have cauterized my mind
My heart only keeps me alive
I'm suprised it can manage that
After all this time

"Your long term effects
Have cauterized my mind"
So many strong statements in this poem.

I find poetry is one of the best places to blow some steam and vent away.

This piece was very strong and to the point. Hope it liberated your thoughts?

Keep writing my friend!
