Humanity

Humanity

A Poem by Jake Staffeld
"

This one is pretty dark, guys.

"

Wake up abandoned

No one is anything

Under the micrscope

Of humanity

On trial for life

Crimes have been commited

By all of us

That claim humanity

We are the end point

Of this lying line

The buck stops here

Along with the blood shed

By humanity

Monsters rear

In the mind's eye

As rivers flow ugly red

Wash away with a flood

Signs of humanity

World restored

To Chaos and Hate

Trademarks of those

Who make up

Humanity

Dark indeed...good images, though; I like the second-to-last stanza especially. I think you mean "rivers" instead of "river's"; that seems to make more sense. Also, "lieing" = "lying." The way you work the word "humanity" into the last line of every stanza is neat.
