The Fields

The Fields

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

Of Remembrance.

"
"Glazing My Finger Across The Corn.
Holding The Tear In The Other Hand.
Walking With Angels In Silence Crying.
Skipping The Heart As It Beats Loud.

Scarecrows Turn With Sadness To Look.
Ravens Fly Low To Catch Me Falling.
Trying To Remember Why I Came.
Under Fates Current Rushing Into Me.

I Press The Button Of Self-Destruct.
 Visions Of Returning Home.
 Breaking The Dark.
 Inside Of Me.

Paths Of Defiance Cross My Unity.
Gaze With Me Into This World.
Full Of Darkness I Live In.
 With Ligh Keeping Me Warm.

 Softly The Scarecrows Sing.
The Song Of The Dead And Walking.
Sorrow Feels My Hopes With Emptiness.
While The Fields Of Doubt Keep Me Questioning.

Will I Remain Alone Fighting These Demons Of Mine."
