At The End

At The End

A Poem by Jason Shadows
"

Once More.

"
"Sitting Here On A Bench.
  Looking Into The Sunset.
  Wondering Whats Next.
   To Come In This Lingering....Life

 Somewhere Out There.
Is Still A Piece Of Me.
That I Must Find To Make.
    Me Complete Once More.

As I Look Down I See A Wurm.
  Sliding Its Way To Survive.
   Another Day Goes By With.
    Its Way To Live Again.

 Watching The World Move.
  Quickly Around Me To See.
    A World Within Lost Reason.
To Remember Why They Are Here.

But As It Moves By Fast.
I'm The One Who Sees My Life.
Slowly Come To Halt Within A Growing.
Reason To Be At The End Alone Yet Again."

I see te same uestion that is endlessly asked: what is our meaing, our purpose? How do we define ourselves, make our mark? This poem is simple but powerful in its own right. Well done.

Your poem is lithe and hints at hope but is a little on the lonely side
