Someone's Watching

Someone's Watching

A Poem by Jaxson Phoenix

I watch in silence
as love leaves the room,
the battle has started
and won't be over soon.

Each angry word spoken
cuts right through my heart
and I can't help but wonder,
why my world is falling apart.

The two that I love most,
my mommy and my dad,
are in that room fighting
and that is why I'm sad.

I wonder what I did
to make them act this way
If I say I'm sorry
daddy will you stay

I promise I'll do better.
I will not be a pain.
I will not pout, I will not cry.
I won't play silly games.

Please don't let your anger
tear my world apart.
Daddy take a moment
and listen to your heart.
