Black Blood is bitter

Black Blood is bitter

A Poem by Geo Lawrence
"

Racism and everything in-between

"

I wear the colour of my skin
Like a thousand year curse
Of my slave ancestors
 fettered and sardined
To the plantain plantations of America.
.
I wear the colour of my skin
Like a cloak of dank dolefulness
Drenched in the black blood
Of my folks wasted
By white cops.
.
They say that black is bad blood
They say that black
Is a bright blight of nature.
And justice applauds them.
And fate and fortune favours them...
.
This is the memory spent
On a cenotaph
That will bear another black blood.

Contains little doses of an unfortunate Truth

Indeed my friend. Thank you for reading and commenting.
You should read up on the ancient Sumerian and Akkadian cultures.

Would it shock you to know that the fundamental roots of slavery have nothing to do with skin color?

It has always been a class thing. A wealth thing.

Black blood?

You are no less racist than the slave keepers from 1800's southern america.

It's red. It's always red.

People like you are the problem. Your entire purpose is to divide.
