![]() To Where You Are by JenniferA Poem by JenniferMarieThe leaves will say goodbye soon, I saw a few today, fly through the swift wind, If only they could carry me to where you are I’d go back to where we met on a humid, sticky, summer night by some old blue pick up truck stuck between the woods, where the moonlight crawled through the trees, and we lie side by side until morning came, speaking of our dreams If only the wind could carry me back through that pebbled path we met each night I’m acting odd. Does he know why? My silence drew a kiss that night, under the stars, at our spot on the dock “JUMP, come on, here take my hand” If only the water I lie near today running my hand back and forth, lazily along its current, could carry me, to where you are someday © 2012 JenniferMarieReviews
