Reminiscing

Reminiscing

A Poem by JenniferMarie

Sitting alone at a café,

small lanterns on tables brightening a dim room,

out the window the tender frenzy of passersby in rain,

Remembering our walk through Notting Hill:

The smell of damp, night air,

reflections on the street trailing off like watercolor paintings,

pastel buildings, the glow of scattered windows,

your hand gentle on the small of my back,

looking up at you,

as you open the door to the Electric Brasserie.

Great imagery along with a beautifully written poetic masterpiece. Poetic Cadences abundant with ease. Great write. :)
