There has been no cheesecake

There has been no cheesecake

A Poem by Jessi Leigh
"

I found inspiration after a trip to India, where I ate cheesecake, had many laughs and meditated a bit. Two months ago, my creativity took a back seat, this is what emerged when it broke through

"
There has been NO cheesecake, little laughter, little bit more meditation.
Misery has loved company yet;
The company does not love misery.

This busy mind filled with obligatory words closing an open heart

one crazy sentence after the next

- is no more.

LESS WORDS more TOUCH,
DHARMA comes out to play...
Feeling, Feeding, Freeing,
Breaking, ripping, slowly tearing everything that once was,

to reveal
                  What now is.

There is no end and no beginning,
No right no wrong.
I am alive and dead at any moment, maybe even at the same moment.
Happiness and sadness each hold a hand, I stride in the middle with the ability to let go. To be unattached, to be aware of the need to have my hand held and the blissful chaos that they each hold.

Now I see an Open Heart... Open to life, to love, to joy, to pain, to freedom, to totality...

There is no end
no beginning
no wrong
no right

The opening stanza is very clever.
Philosophical in form and yet a
hint of vulnerability lies within.
a wonderful piece and a joy
to read :)

I love to speak my mind. My words are rough and pretty raw. I get overwhelmed by life pretty easily, but love to push myself and see just how much I can take in. I'm here to learn, to grow, to e.. more..
