The Melancholy Rose

The Melancholy Rose

A Poem by Jessica Gillitzer
"

I loved her... I really and truly did

"
I saw the best of you, Pinot Noir flavored passionate kisses and delicate fingers that held strength unknown to all
I see the worst of you, hollow eyes that still bare love and how those hands no longer held me
I'll see the end, your realization of love so true but so, so lost and the cost of careless hands
You're the most beautiful flower
Dew upon your petals sparkles to those unable to see more
See you for what your beauty and appeal mean
You're one of a select group of roses for the most special occassion
You really are a rose my love...
But you'll always be just another of many roses on my casket
