Cynically

I loved the prologue. One suggestion though, space out the talking a bit to make it easier to seperate who's who in the dialogue. Also, it was very easy to follow along with, and good idea with putting the translation for the french included. It might be a better idea, to (instead of in the text itself), include the translation for the french at the end in your author's notes. Just an suggestion. As for the text itself, I'm looking forward to finding out what happens to the child, and who it was who reassured her she was alright.
