Relief

Relief

A Poem by John Brooks
"

Diary of a cutter

"
As I forever bear the guilt,
Something only I could have built,
I lie in wonder,
Should we live,
Or should I die?
Thoughts of ending my troubled life,
I finally relieve my stress
As I reach for the knife
It’s been awhile,
But I can only help but smile,
As the blood drips down my wrist,
Bringing back the joy, I so dearly missed
